Changing the Pastby *Admish

This was an assignment for a Photoshop class. Description of the assignment is below. I think the original was taken by my father in 1982-1983, I am the little boy in the picture with my sister.

Question a Reality or Recreate a Memory:

Find a photograph from your past, something that marks an event or a specific memory, scan it and alter it so that it no longer represents the original and represents a new "truth".
(Hints: try to make it visually look like you remember feeling at the time, re-arrange the existing composition and add things to it, change the location of where it is at, change the overall mood (color tone) of the piece ).

Using techniques learned in this class and from other sources to refine your image; there should be no residue from "cutting and pasting", and the overall tone of the piece should be unified.

You will need to scan a photograph, adjust the resolution so it comes as close to 8.5"x 11" as possible, is 300 dpi (printable) and contains the same edge qualities as the original. The final piece should look as realistic as possible.

If my sister asks, its a recreation of the day we adopted her from her home planet.

Photoshop Guru Eh! This should be in scraps... let me explain... your sun is.... red wich should be your light source, reflections on the saucers are yellowish..., the leaves over your saucer on the right are palish in comparison with the tree so. Cuts are too rough you did not set any focus on your picture...
